  • a pack (160-180 g) of butter 82% fat;
  • 1.5 tsp lemon juice.

Impregnation products:

  • 50 g apricot jam;
  • 50 ml of boiled water;
  • 1 tsp liqueur (any, but better than fruit).

Products for mastic:

  • 1 kg of powdered sugar;
  • a couple of pinches of vanillin;
  • 8 tbsp. l. boiled or filtered water;
  • 2 tsp gelatin powder;
  • 2 tsp lemon juice.

Use cocoa powder, concentrated cranberry juice (or syrup), and black food coloring as colorants.

How to make a biscuit:

  1. From the suggested biscuit products, knead the dough and pour it into a round baking dish lined with cling foil or tissue paper.
  2. Bake at 180 ° C for about 35-40 minutes.
  3. When the top of the dough is covered with a brownish blush, pull it out of the heat. After a couple of minutes, free the biscuit from the tin and foil. Leave on a wire rack to cool at room temperature for 3-4 hours.

How to prepare the cream:

  1. Prepare a water bath. Break the chocolate into pieces and melt with the butter until it is smooth and creamy. Cool slightly.

Having kneaded the mastic well, we roll it into a ball, from it we form a cone, the height of which corresponds to the height of the future Christmas tree. It often happens that when the cone is put in an upright position, the mastic starts to settle under the weight, so I usually send it to the refrigerator for a few minutes, where it hardens a little and begins to hold its shape.

Now we take nail scissors and make cuts on the surface of the cone, cut each new row in a checkerboard pattern. I have separate nail scissors for these purposes, especially for use in cooking, I bought the cheapest ones, they will do just fine.


As a result, we get such a pretty Christmas tree, it remains to revive it a little and decorate it with New Year's toys.


With the help of food coloring, diluted in a small amount of water, we go through the tree with a brush. I dip the brush into the dye, then squeeze it a little on a napkin, and only then over the Christmas tree. For the toys, I used regular children's sweets, which are sold in every store. I glued the candies under the branches, when you lift them, the mastic is sticky inside and the candies stick to it without much difficulty. That's all the Christmas tree for the cake is ready.



Now you can start sculpting a snowman. We need a piece of white mastic and a piece of mastic of a different color, mine was pink.
Let's start sculpting the snowman from the body. Let's make a small cone, only the top does not need to be made sharp. Having rolled up small balls, we make the legs of the snowman.


We make handles from mastic rolled into a sausage (a very small piece). Let's flatten the sausage a little, and make a mitten on the edge just by making an incision and slightly tweaking it.


We glue the handles to the body, lubricating the edge with some water.


Let's start shaping the head. We mark a ball of mastic under the eyes and nose.


We make a nose from a tiny piece of red mastic. Just give it the shape of a carrot, make small cuts and the spout carrot is ready.


Having made a depression on the head under the nose, we lubricate it with some water and simply insert our nose into place. We simply paint over the eyes with black paint. And we form the mouth with a toothpick, making the snowman smile.


The head is connected to the body with a toothpick.


Now we will make a scarf and a hat for our snowman. I wanted the scarf to be striped, so on a rolled piece of pink mastic, I apply white mastic flagella and roll it a little more with a rolling pin.
