Ingredients for Honey Pumpkin

  1. Fresh pumpkin – 300 grams
  2. Ginger root – 10 grams
  3. Dates – 7 pieces
  4. Honey – 2 tablespoons
  5. Water – 30 ml
  6. Ground cinnamon – 2 pinch

Take a fresh pumpkin and peel it, remove pulp and seeds. To prepare this delicious dessert, it is strictly forbidden to use frozen pumpkin, since when it thaws, it will have a completely different consistency. Cut the peeled pumpkin into medium-sized cubes. They should be approximately 1 centimeter.

Then peel the ginger and chop it very finely. You can also grate it on a coarse grater.

Soak the dates in hot water, remove the pits and cut them into small pieces.

Place pumpkin, ginger and dates in a multicooker pan. On the toolbar, set the “Baking” mode. We set the time to 30 minutes. After 10 minutes we add water and add ground cinnamon. Water is needed for the pumpkin to produce juice.

5 minutes before cooking we add natural honey. Linden or flower honey is best suited for preparing our dessert.

Preparation before cooking

In order to remove excess bitterness from citrus fruits, they should be doused with boiling water. Cut the lemons and limes, remove the seeds; no need to peel them. If there is no lime, increase the amount of lemon. Remove the peel and core of the pumpkin, cut the required amount of pulp into cubes. Ginger root has a pronounced pungent taste; if you don’t like spicy food or plan to give the mixture to children, then limit yourself to half. The root must be peeled and cut into cubes.

Next, all ingredients should be crushed to a puree. This can be done using a blender, after adding sugar and honey. If you don’t have a blender at home, then simply pass everything through a meat grinder with a fine grid. Naturally, you won’t get a puree, but this will not make the product any less useful. Add the beekeeping product and granulated sugar after grinding the products in a meat grinder.

The resulting mixture should be stored in a glass or plastic container with a lid in a cool, dark place; a refrigerator is perfect. Take 1 tbsp. l. 30 minutes before meals 2-3 times a day. Continue the course of treatment until the medicine runs out, this is approximately 1.5–2 weeks.

This recipe is more labor-intensive and time-consuming; the following components will be required:

  • 1 medium sized pumpkin;
  • lemons 150–200 g;
  • honey 500 g;
  • ginger root 50 g;
  • cinnamon.

Choose a strong, fresh pumpkin; it is better to use a non-hybrid vegetable. First wash and dry it, then carefully cut off the top - we will need it later. The seeds and fibrous pulp must be removed.

Squeeze the juice from the lemons, grate the ginger root on the finest grater or grind in a blender. Combine all ingredients with honey and mix. Now pour the whole mixture into the pumpkin, cover with a lid and put in a cool place for 5-7 days.

During this time, the juice of the fruit will be mixed with the filler and infused, this is pumpkin honey. The contents of the pumpkin should be poured into a glass jar, add cinnamon to taste and store in the refrigerator. Take 1 tbsp. l. three times a day for 15–20 days.
